There are no accounts here. The only personal data we hold is what you type into a form.
What we collect
If you send an enquiry: your name, email address, optionally your phone number and business name, and your message. Stored in our database and used only to reply to you. Not sold, not shared, not added to a mailing list.
If you accept cookies: anonymous usage statistics through Google Analytics, and advertising cookies. If you decline, analytics runs in a cookieless mode that cannot identify you and advertising cookies are not set. See the cookie page for the detail.
Automatically, as with any web server: standard request logs.
We do not run user accounts, we do not have a newsletter, and we do not build profiles of readers.
Third parties
Some pages embed or link to services that set their own cookies and receive your IP address when their content loads: Google (Analytics, AdSense), GetYourGuide, Stay22, and our affiliate partners. Their own policies govern that processing.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Email contact@visit-budapest.online and we will action it.
Retention
Enquiries are kept while the conversation is live and for a reasonable period after, then deleted.
Where the data is
Our database is hosted in the European Union.
